SUMMER SWEAT CLASSES
Summer classes are a great way for dancers to continue to keep up and progress their skills and conditioning through the summer. These are advanced level classes. Dancers attending all classes aged 8+ should have a minimum of 3 years experience.
A minimum 10 class card is highly recommended for all PDA Competitive Company Members.
Dancers must have the minimum Acro requirements below to attend each acro level.
DATES: Classes run for the following 6 weeks through June & July
June 7th-9th
June 14th-16th
June 21st-23rd
June 28th-30th
July 12th-14th
July 19th-21st
TUITION:
1 Class Only (6 Weeks) - $72.00 per Class
10 Class Card - $115.00
Unlimited Classes (Micro Mini/Age 5-8) - $125.00
Unlimited Classes (All other ages) - $300.00

FOUNDATION ACRO & TUMBLING:
Dancers must be able to support their own body weight and should have good knowledge of foundational skills and progressions such as bridges and recover, bridge kick overs, balances (headstands, handstands, etc.), cartwheels and variations. Dancers will also develop strength and flexibility required to progress their acro training safely. Ideal Program for Acro level 2-4.
PROGRESSION ACRO & TUMBLING:
Must be able to back walkover, recover from a bridge and working on aerial and back handspring progressions. The focus will be on progressive skills such as back and front walkovers and variations, more advanced balances (elbow stand, chest stand, shoulder stand), aerial cartwheel and back handspring progressions. Ideal Program for Acro level 5-7.
VARIATION ACRO & TUMBLING:
Must be able to back and front walkover. Dancers should also be able to hold and control various stands (handstand, elbow, chest, shoulder) and completed front & back walkover progressions such as valdez and one-handed variations. The focus will be on variations and a combination of skills and is for the most advanced acro dancer. Ideal Program for Acro level 8 & Up.
TUMBLING (AERIAL & BACK HANDSPRING):
Dancers must be able to complete all 6 of their required cartwheels (Right & Left, as well as right & left one-hand far hand and right & left one-hand close hand cartwheels). Dancers also must be able to do a round-off cartwheel.
TUMBLING VARIATION:
Dancers must be able to aerial cartwheel and back handspring. Dancers should have a good understand of a flying front walkover.
